National Incident Management System (NIMS) For Physicians Manual
Compliance with the National Incident Management System is an important component in New York State's preparedness efforts. The Medical Society of the State of New York and the New York State Department of Health have partnered since 9/11 to ensure that the physicians of New York State are prepared for any type of public health emergency. In a continuation of this effort, the Medical Society has compiled this manual on the National Incident Management System (NIMS) to ensure an understanding by physicians of the national system in which our country will operate during a national or state emergency. The manual is available to physicians free of charge and has been accredited by the Medical Society of the State of New York for 12 Continuing Medical Education Credits.

"Biological, Chemical and Nuclear Emergencies: A Physicians' Resource Manual"
This manual is intended to be a guide for certain New York State Reportable diseases and/or conditions. The topics selected are considered to be potential bioterrorism threats by the Centers for Disease Control or are otherwise deemed to be at risk for terrorist use. The materials contained within the manual are meant to compliment the on-line educational modules.

Psychological Impact of Disaster and Terrorism: Tending to the Hidden Wounds - A Desk Reference Card
One of the most devastating and pervasive results of 9/11 was the impact it had on mental health. The sheer magnitude of the event shattered the sense of safety and security for many. It is now evident that provided care following a major disaster requires that serious attentions to mental disorders. This reference card can be used in the field to the office setting.
